Activities at Kudu Private Nature Reserve

Because Kudu Game Ranch is a private shareholding, we are fortunate to be able to take part in various activities that add to the fun and experience of living on a game farm in Africa. Shareholders can choose to take quiet on their own or to participate in some of the more social events on the farm that bring home the fact that we are part of a privileged community and that sharing experiences is fun! 4X4 driving is exciting and challenging and there are many areas on the farm where your skills can be put to the test.

Mountain biking is a great way to see the farm and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your youngster bouncing with anticipation as they head off on a ride.

Hiking is another way in which to quietly experience the beauty and diversity of the farm and there are many well demarcated trails as well as an overnight hut.

If a more sedate approach suits you, pack a picnic hamper, load up fishing and fly-fishing rods and head off to the many picnic spots on the rivers and dams for a day of tranquility and otter spotting.

Just remember though we have a “catch and release” policy so if you want trout for dinner pick some up in Dullstroom! While you are out and about on the farm, whichever is your preferred method of enjoying the outdoors, be aware that Kudu Game Farm is an important Archaeological site and there are many relics and ruins from a bye-gone age.

In Kudu Chronicles there is a regular column highlighting some of the things to look out for and some of the finds that shareholders have made.
